On Thursday, Feb 28, representatives from Solidarity Nepal visited three government schools in western Nepal, as part of its broader efforts to engage youth on issues of leadership, and education.
The team, consisting of President Rajendra Gautam, Vice President Dipak Khatri, Treasurer Krishna Gautam, Audio Visual Technician Kamal Khatri, visited three government schools – Shree Shiwaliya Primary School, Shree Dhaulagiri Primary School and Shree Salyan Sukhura Secondary School in Salyan VDC of Baglung district.
The team distributed backpacks over 500 backpacks with the message, “SN Supports Child for Better Tomorrow,” as well as school supplies. This is part of a Literacy campaign “An international level program from Solidarity Nepal which focuses on basic education for underprivileged children and youths in rural areas of Nepal.”
“We want to take up activities for supporting education, health and community development,” said president of SN Mr. Gautam.
On the same date SN handed over office furniture worth of Rs. 20,000 to “Aama Samuha Bhawan” at Salyan-4, Thaplung.
