सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल अमेरिकाद्वारा नयाँ प्रोजेक्ट घोषणा, सहयोगका लागि सबैलाई अपिल

 प्रमोद पौडेल – २८ अक्टोबर, २०१५ – हौस्टन्, टेक्स्सास । अन्तराष्ट्रिय परोपकारी संस्था सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनलको अमेरिका स्थित च्याप्टर सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल अमेरिकाले नयाँ प्रोजेक्ट घोषणा गरेको छ । टेक्स्सास स्थित आफ्नो कार्यालयमा सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल बिश्व परिषदका बरिस्ठ उपाध्यक्ष तथा सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल अमेरिकाका सल्लाहकार केशव सुबेदीको नेतृत्वमा बसेको बिशेष बैठकले वान डलर अ डे फर अरफान्स एजुकेशन इन नेपाल नामक अभियान सन्चालन गर्ने निर्णय गरेको हो ।

बैठकमा सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल बिश्व परिषदका नर्थ अमेरिका डिरेक्टर तथा सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल अमेरिकाका सल्लाहकार दमन राज शाही तथा बिश्व परिषदकै फाउन्डेशन डिरेक्टर तथा सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल अमेरिकाका सल्लाहकार राज शर्माको पनि उपस्थिति रहेको थियो ।

त्यस्तै सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल अमेरिकाका बरिस्ठ उपाध्यक्ष क्षितिज थापा, उपाध्यक्ष भिम खत्री, सकृय सदस्य कमल कुँवरको सहभागीता थियो भने अन्य पदाधिकारीहरु स्टेट बाहिर रहेको कारण बैठकमा उपस्थित हुन नसकेको जानकारी गराइएको छ । 

सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल बिश्व परिषदले भुकम्प पछी नेपालमा गरेको राहत तथा पुनर्निर्माण अभियानका निम्ती सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल अमेरिकाले गरेको आर्थिक सहयोगको उच्च मुल्याङ्कन गर्दै बरिस्ठ उपाध्यक्ष केशव सुबेदीले हाल सन्चालन गर्न लागेको अभियानमा दिनको एक डलर नेपालका अनार्थ बालबालिकाको शिक्षाको निम्ती छुट्याउन आग्रह गरे । अमेरिका बाहेकका देशहरुमा त्यहाँको स्थानिय पैसा अनुसार दिनको १ सन्कलन गर्न सकिने बताए ।

यस अभियानका अभियानकर्ता समेत रहेका सुबेदीले इछुक ब्यक्तीले एक बर्ष देखी पाँच बर्ष सम्म अभियानलाई सहयोग गर्न सक्ने बताउदै बिदेशमा रहेका सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनलका सम्पूर्ण च्याप्टरलाई सहयोगको निम्ती अपिल गर्ने बताए ।

बिदेशमा रहेका प्रत्येक नेपालीले हातेमालो जनाएर सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनलको सामाजिक अभियानलाई सहयोग गरे नेपालका बिभिन्न ग्रामीण जिल्लाहरुमा परोपकारी कामहरु गर्न सकिने सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल बिश्व परिषदका नर्थ अमेरिका डिरेक्टर दमन राज शाहीले थपे ।

विभेदपूर्ण समाज उन्मूलनको लागि आफुहरुले चलाईरहेको अभियान उत्कृष्ट रहेको भन्दै, सो अभियानलाई थप सहयोग पुर्याउन सबैको आबश्यकता रहेको सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल बिश्व परिषदका फाउन्डेशन डिरेक्टर राज शर्माले थपे ।

त्यस्तै मुलुक बाहिर छरिएर रहेका सम्पुर्ण समाज-सेवीहरुलाई समेट्ने योजना र प्रवासमा पनि सामाजिक अभियानमा अभिरुचि राख्ने सवैलाई एउटै छातामा समेट्ने हेतुले सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल अमेरिकाको स्थापना भएको सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल अमेरिकाका बरिस्ठ उपाध्यक्ष क्षितिज थापाले जानकारी दिए ।

त्यस्तै गरी बैठकले विभिन्न सामाजिक निर्णय गर्दै गुल्मी हराचोउर ४, झारखर्कमा अवस्थित श्री बालबोध निम्न माध्यमिक बिधालयमा डिक्सनेरी बैंक तथा बाल मैत्री पुस्तकालय निर्माणको लागि अभियान चलाउने गर्ने निर्णय गरेको छ ।

साथै बैठकले वान डलर अ डे फर अरफान्स एजुकेशन इन नेपालका अभियानकर्ता द्वय बरिस्ठ उपाध्यक्ष सुबेदी र फाउन्डेशन डिरेक्टर राज शर्मालाई अभियानको सुरुवातमै आर्थिक सहयोगको घोषणा गरेकोमा धन्यवाद प्रकट गरेको छ । सुबेदी र शर्माले बिगत लामो समयदेखी सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनलका सामाजिक अभियानमा आर्थिक सहयोग गर्दै आइ रहेको जनाइएको छ ।

सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल मलेसिया च्याप्टर पुर्नगठन : अध्यक्षमा कृष्ण ज्ञवाली चयन

प्रमोद पौडेल – २६ अक्टोबर, २०१५ – पासा वेष्टपोर्ट, मलेसिया । अन्तराष्ट्रिय परोपकारी संस्था सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल मलेसिया पुर्नगठन सँगै च्याप्टरको नयाँ अध्यक्षमा कृष्ण ज्ञवाली चयन भएका छन् । मलेसियाको पासा वेष्टपोर्टमा सम्पन्न भएको दोस्रो अधिवेशनले ज्ञवालीको अध्यक्षतामा नयाँ कार्यसमिति चयन गरेको हो । एस आइ मलेसियाका निवर्तमान अध्यक्ष प्रेम गौतमलाई बिश्व परिषदको उपाध्यक्षमा ताने सँगै करिब छ महिना देखी अध्यक्ष पद रिक्त थियो । नब निर्बाचित सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल मलेसियाको उपाध्यक्षमा राम प्रसाद गौतम र घन्श्याम शर्मा, सचिवमा राम प्रसाद छेत्री, कोषाध्यक्षमा गणेश भण्डारी, सह-सचिबमा कृष्ण प्रसाद गैरे चयन भएका छन् । यसैगरी सदस्यहरूमा  खगेश्वोर पाठक, मदन पौडेल, दिल बहादुर खत्री, मदन छेत्री र मन बहादुर छेत्री रहेका छन् । अधिबेशन सम्पन्न भए लगतै बसेको समितिको प्रथम बैठकले विभिन्न सामाजिक निर्णय गरेको बुझिएको छ।

जुन १५, २०१३ मा स्थापना भएको च्याप्टरले नेपालमा बिभिन्न सामाजिक कार्यक्रम सन्चालनको निम्ती सहयोग गर्दै आइ रहेको छ ।

कार्यक्रमलाई सम्बोधन गर्ने क्रममा नव निर्बाचित अध्यक्ष ज्ञवालीले मुलुक बाहिर छरिएर रहेका सम्पुर्ण समाज-सेवीहरुलाई समेट्ने योजना र प्रवासमा पनि सामाजिक अभियानमा अभिरुचि राख्ने सवैलाई एउटै छातामा समेट्ने हेतुले सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल मलेसियाको स्थापना भएको बताएका थिय ।

बिभेदपूर्ण समाजको अन्त्य गर्ने अभियानका साथ स्थापित सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनलले अमेरिका, युएई, जापान, नेपाल, अष्ट्रेलिया, हङकङ लगाएतका देशहरुमा आफ्नो च्याप्टर बिस्तार गरी सकेको छ ।

त्यस्तै संस्थाले डोल्पा जिल्लामा प्रोजेक्ट होप मार्फत एक सय ब्यक्तिगत दाताहरुको सहयोगमा एक सय बालबालिकालाई पूर्ण छात्रवृत्ति प्रदान गर्ने तयारी गरीरहेको सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनलका अध्यक्ष तथा प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिकृत राजेन्द्र गौतमले जानकारी दिए ।

सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल युएईको बैठक सम्पन्न

सुरज थापा – २५ अक्टोबर, २०१५ – युएई, अन्तराष्ट्रिय परोपकारी संस्था सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल युएईले आफ्नो  मासिक बैठक सम्पन्न गरेको छ । रस अलखेमा च्याप्टरका अध्यक्ष गुरु प्रसाद ज्ञवालीको अध्यक्षतामा बसेको बैठकमा च्याप्टरको सल्लाहकार तथा सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशल बिश्व परिषदका रेपिड एकशन फोर्स निर्देशक बलराम शर्मा, उपाध्यक्ष लक्ष्मी पौडेल, सचिव खम केसी र कोषाध्यक्ष दिपक गौतमको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो ।

हामी नेपाललाई रुपान्त्रण भएको देख्न चाही रहेका छौ, र त्यो हामी सबैको ऐकबद्धता भए सम्भव हुने अध्यक्ष ज्ञवालीले बताए । बिदेशमा रहेका प्रत्येक नेपालीले हातेमालो जनाएर सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनलको सामाजिक अभियानलाई सहयोग गरे नेपालका बिभिन्न ग्रामीण जिल्लाहरुमा परोपकारी कामहरु गर्न सकिने बिश्व परिषद रेपिड एकशन फोर्स निर्देशक बलराम शर्माले थपे । विभेदपूर्ण समाज उन्मूलनको लागि आफुहरुले चलाईरहेको अभियान उत्कृष्ट रहेको भन्दै, सो अभियानलाई थप सहयोग पुर्याउन सबैको आबश्यकता रहेको र नेपालको डोल्पा जिल्लामा सन्चालन गर्न लागेको प्रोजेक्ट होप सन्चालनको निम्ती सबैले सक्दो सहयोग गर्नु पर्ने कोषाध्यक्ष दिपक गौतम जानकारी दिए ।

त्यस्तै बैठकले रिक्त रहेको सद्स्य पदमा रमेश पौड्याललाई सर्बसम्मतले नियुक्ती गरेको छ ।

विश्वभर परिषद गठन हुँदै, संपर्कमा आउन सबैलाई आव्हान

प्रमोद पौडेल – १६ अक्टोबर: युएई, विभेदपूर्ण समाजको अन्त्य गर्ने अभियानका साथ बिभिन्न देशमा आफ्नो सन्जाल बिस्तार गरेको सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनलले युएईमा पनि आफ्नो च्याप्टर गठन गरेको छ । आज युएईमा आयोजित एक कार्यक्रममा गुरु प्रसाद ज्ञवालीको अध्यक्षतामा १० सदस्यीय कार्यसमिति गठन भएको हो ।

ज्ञवालीको नेतृत्वमा गठित च्याप्टरको उपाध्यक्षहरुमा लक्ष्मी पौडेल, भिम केसी, सचिवमा खम केसी, कोषाध्यक्षमा दिपक गौतम, सह-सचिबमा केशब खत्री र सद्स्यहरुमा क्रमश नारायण न्यौपाने, टेक प्रसाद र दिपक गौतम रहेका छन भने बाँकी एक सदश्यको पद पछी पुर्ती गर्ने जानकारी गराइएको छ ।

त्यस्तै कार्यक्रममा च्याप्टरको बरिस्ठ सल्लाहकारमा नेपाली जनसंपर्क समिती युएईका अध्यक्ष चित्र केसी र सल्लाहकारमा सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशल बिश्व परिषदका रेपिड एकशन फोर्स निर्देशक बलराम शर्मालाई नियुक्ती गरिएको छ ।

राहत अभियानमा सकृय हुँदै सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनल, थप अभियान सन्चालनको तयारीमा

१७ जेठ, काठमाडौं । अन्तराष्ट्रिय परोपकारी संस्था सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनलले रोट्रयाक्ट क्लब अफ काठमाडौं, रोटरी इन्टरनेशनल डिस्ट्रिक्ट ३२९२ नेपाल एवम भुटानको सहकार्यमा आठ जिल्लामा पन्ध्र वटा भुकम्प राहत अभियान सम्पन्न गरेको छ । सिन्धुपाल्चोकको सिपापोखरेबाट अभियानको सुरुवात गरेको संस्थाले सिन्धुपाल्चोकको तउथली, भोटेचौर, काठमाडौंको थानकोट, काभ्रेको भिन्दाल, भक्तपुरको सिरुटार, ललितपुरको डुकुछाप, ठुला दुर्लुङ, गोर्खाको लग्ङ्दी, नुवाकोटको कुमारी, चौगडा, तलेखु तथा दोलखाको हावामा १० श्वास्थ शिविर तथा १५ वटा खाध्यान्न बितरणका कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न गरेको हो ।

अमेरिका, अष्ट्रेलिया, जापान, कोरिया, मलेशिया, दुबइ तथा हङकङमा आफ्नो सन्जाल बिस्तार् गरेको सोलिडारिटीले भुकम्पबाट अत्यन्त प्रभावित जिल्लाहरुको मध्यनजर गर्दै अभियानको सुरुवात गरेको थियो । हाल सम्म संस्थाले करिब १५०० परिवारका निम्ती खाध्यान्न वितरण गरेको छ । त्यस्तै संस्थाबाट आयोजित श्वास्थ शिविरबाट छ जिल्लामा ३००० बडी बिरामी  लावान्भित भएको जनाइएको छ ।

  

हाल सम्म आफुहरु भुकम्प प्रवाभित हरुको गासको सुरक्षामा तल्लिन भएको जनाउदै अबको दिनहरुमा पुनर्निर्माणका कामहरुमा सरिक हुने सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनलका अध्यक्ष तथा प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिकृत राजेन्द्र गौतमले जानकारी दिए ।

त्यस्तै संस्थाले दोलखा जिल्लाको हावा गा वि स मा अवस्थित श्री दुम्शीझाङ निम्न माध्यामिक बिद्यालय पुनर्निर्माणको काम अगाडी बडाइ सकिएको जानकारी दिदै थप सहयोगका लागि अपिल गरेको छ ।

सोलिडारिटीद्वारा सिन्धुपाल्चोकमा राहत बितरण, थप सहयोगका लागि अपिल

१७ वैशाख, सिन्धुपाल्चोक । अन्तराष्ट्रिय परोपकारी संस्था सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनलले महाभूकम्पबाट अत्यन्त प्रभावित क्षेत्र सिन्धुपाल्चोक जिल्लाको सिपापोखरे गा वि स मा राहत वितरण गरेको छ । विभिन्न युवा संघ संस्थाहरु रोट्रयाक्ट क्लब अफ काठमाडौं, रोट्रयाक्ट क्लब अफ इस्ट सेन्ट्रल युनिभर्सिटी र सिपापोखरेमा अवस्थित संस्था सिन्धु उत्थान केन्द्रको पहलमा कार्यक्रम आयोजना गरिएको हो । हालसम्म कुनै सरकारी तथा अन्य निकायको सहयोग नपुगेको उक्त गाउमा चार संस्थाको सकृयतामा एक सय घरधुरीलाई खाध्यान्न, टेन्ट लगायत अन्य अती आवश्यक बस्तुहरु वितरण गरिएको हो । सिन्धुपाल्चोकको विकट क्षेत्रमा अवस्थित सिपापोखरेमा गत शनिबार गएको महाभुकम्पबाट त्यहा रहेका करिब नौ सय घर धुरी मध्य करिब आठ सय घरहरु पूर्ण रुपले क्षेती ग्रस्त छन ।

पहिलो चरणको राहत सिपापोखरेको वडा न ६ र ८ का बासिन्दालाई वितरण गरिएको र अब हुने अन्य चराणका सहयोगहरु यसै गरी अन्य वडामा बाडिने र सम्पूर्ण भुकम्पबाट पीडितलाई राहत उपलब्ध गराउने प्रयास रहेको सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनलका अध्यक्ष तथा प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिकृत राजेन्द्र गौतमले जानकारी दिए ।

हाल सिन्धुपाल्चोकमा श्वास्थ भन्दा पनि ओत लाग्नको निम्ती त्रिपाल र भोक टार्नको निम्ती खाध्यान्न अत्यन्त आवश्यक रहेकोले थप खाध्यान्न सन्कलन गर्न सिन्धुपाल्चोक गएको सोलिडारिटीको टोली काठमाडौं फर्किएको समेत जानकारी दिए ।

तत्काल सिपापोखरेमा भुकम्पबाट ज्यान जोगिएकाहरुलाई बचाउन जरुरत रहेको भन्दै गौतमले करीब ८०० बोरा चामल, दाल तथा टेन्ट अती आवश्यक रहेको र उक्त गा वि स मा ज्यान गुमाउनेहरुको पूर्ण तथ्यान्क बाहीर आइे नसकेको समेत जानकारी दिए ।

सोलिडारिटी इन्टरनेशनलले भुकम्पबाट पीडितको राहतको लागि भुकम्प राहत कोष स्थापना गरेको साथै उक्त कार्यक्रम गर्न सहयोग गर्नु हुने सम्पूर्णलाई धन्यवाद दिदै आगामी चरणको कार्यक्रममा समेत सहयोग गर्न अपिल गरेको छ ।

अस्मिता स्मृति पुरस्कार २०१४ पुनलाई

डिसेम्बर ३०, गुल्मी । सोलिडारिटी नेपालले बर्ष २०१४ को अस्मिता स्मृति पुरस्कार गुल्मीकी सिम्रन पुनलाई प्रदान गरेको छ । गुल्मी जिल्लाको श्री हराचोउर माध्यमिक विद्यालयमा कक्षा ९ मा अध्यनरत पुन बिद्यालयकी जेहनदार छात्राहरु मध्यकी एक हुन । विद्यालयद्वारा डिसेम्बर २८ र २९ मा आयोजित बार्षिक उत्शब कार्यक्रमका बिच पुनलाई नगद रु ५,००० सहित सम्मान पत्र प्रदान गरिएको हो । काठमाडौंको ब्रिहस्पती बिध्यासदनमा कक्षा ८ मा अध्यनरत अस्मिताको २०६८-४-१ मा असमाहिक निधन भएको थियो ।

गत बर्ष २०१३ को अस्मिता स्मृति पुरस्कारको उपाधी समेत पुनलेनै हासिल गरेकी थिइन ।

शोकलाई शक्तीमा बदल्न सोलिडारिटी नेपालले उनको परिवारको आर्थिक सहयोगमा अस्मिता स्मृति पुरस्कारको स्थापना गरेको थियो ।

Project HOPE

Investing in education is the single most effective means of reducing poverty.

Education is a key need, along with other basics, in today’s world for anyone, anywhere to have a good quality of life. In developing countries like Nepal, basic education is crucial to alleviating poverty, reducing inequality and driving economic growth.

Quality of education in Nepal is generally poor, characterized by high drop-out rates, lack of child- and girl-friendly facilities and child-centered learning environments. Nepal is home to 26.6 million people, with children younger than 15 years old making up more than 40% of the population. More than one in three people in Nepal live in extreme poverty, subsisting on less than $1 per day.

Education has given many of us the opportunities to lead a better quality life and attain our goals. However, for thousands of Nepalese children, education remains a distant dream due to poverty, caste, gender discrimination and lack of access to schools. The quality education remains the most important tool towards the realization of rights of all children.

Why Project HOPE?

This project offers educational scholarship, uniforms, stationery materials and resolve their basic & genuine human rights issues. It is associated with increasing the living and educational standards of underprivileged, war victims and Dalit so called untouchable children’s in rural areas of Nepal.

Education is one of the most important investments a country can make in its people, its future and is critical to reducing poverty and inequality. Education plays a decisive role in a child’s development. Project Hope helps to improve participation of children, their parents and the community in education planning, improve learning levels and reduce dropout rates of children.

Project “HOPE”:

Project “HOPE” is a literacy program initiated by Solidarity Nepal, A registered non-profitable and social welfare organization dedicated for Social Transformation in Nepal with a goal to provide Full Educational Scholarship to needy students in all 75 districts of Nepal to support more than 75,000 school going children in the future.

Besides this project also helps to improve participation of children, their parents and the community in education planning, improve learning levels and reduce dropout rates.

Goal
The goal of this project is to assist all the needy students in becoming good writers, active readers, creative thinkers, and resourceful learners by providing them educational scholarships.

Vision

With the support of local and international sponsor, we want to provide educational scholarship to the needy students of different community based schools in remote villages of Nepal. In this way, we hope to improve their communication skills & improve literacy rate in Nepal.

Why Scholarships for the students of community based schools in Nepal?

Community based schools in Nepal are generally financed by local people and get little assistance from government to run the school. The majority of the students studying the community based schools are from backward and poor family who cannot afford abundantly for their education. The parents with good income teach their children in private and boarding schools in Nepal. So, we focus to help the public run school with the HOPE project.

About the project site:

Solidarity Nepal initiated this project to improve literacy rates in Nepal and to support National Literacy Campaign (NLC) launched by Government of Nepal.

“Project Hope” means 1 Donor – 1 Child program to support more than 75,000 underprivileged, war victims and Dalit so called untouchable children’s in all 75 districts of Nepal.

Through the success of our pilot phase program conducted at Shree Dumshijhang Lower Secondary School – Dolakha, Shree Dhaulagiri Primary School – Baglung and Shree Indrachowk Primary School – Gulmi, we are confident to meet the campaign target as this program is highly recognized, participated and supported by medias, individual donors and local people. The “Hope Project’s” aim is to connect One Child with One Donor having a common motto “Changing Lives, One Child at a Time.”

Since the beginning of the project to till date more than 400 individual students were benefited by receiving Hope Scholarship. Please find the details of the schools, no of students and supporters of the project, total financial contribution in the HOPE PROJECT PROPOSAL.

अस्मिता स्मृति पुरस्कार २०१३ पुनलाई

डिसेम्बर २९, गुल्मी । सोलिडारिटी नेपालले बर्ष २०१३ को अस्मिता स्मृति पुरस्कार गुल्मीकी सिम्रन पुनलाई प्रदान गरेको छ । गुल्मी जिल्लाको श्री हराचोउर माध्यमिक विद्यालयमा कक्षा ८ मा अध्यनरत पुन बिद्यालयकी जेहनदार छात्राहरु मध्यकी एक हुन । विद्यालयद्वारा डिसेम्बर २८ र २९ मा आयोजित बार्षिक उत्शब कार्यक्रमका बिच पुनलाई नगद रु ५,००० सहित सम्मान पत्र प्रदान गरिएको हो । काठमाडौंको ब्रिहस्पती बिध्यासदनमा कक्षा ८ मा अध्यनरत अस्मिताको २०६८-४-१ मा असमाहिक निधन भएको थियो ।

शोकलाई शक्तीमा बदल्न सोलिडारिटी नेपालले उनको परिवारको आर्थिक सहयोगमा अस्मिता स्मृति पुरस्कारको स्थापना गरेको थियो ।

Project “One District – One Library”

Education has given many of us the opportunities to lead a better quality life and attain our goals. However, for thousands of Nepali children, education remains a distant dream – due to poverty, caste, gender discrimination and lack of access to schools. The quality education remains the most important tool towards the realization of rights of all children.

Why Libraries? 

Books of all kinds play a critical role in a child’s development. Unfortunately in Nepal, most children do not have access to books beyond basic school textbooks. Children’s books are a luxury to have in Nepal and are a rarity in many government schools, orphan houses and community centers. Having fun educational books available helps to encourage independent learning, intellectual curiosity, and a lifelong passion for reading.

Project “One District – One Library”:

Project “One District – One Library” is a literacy program with a goal to make 75 Child Friendly libraries in 75 districts of Nepal by providing 75,000 books to benefit more than 100,000 school going children by 2017. This program is initiated by Solidarity Nepal, a non-profitable and social welfare organization dedicated for social transformation in Nepal, open to all persons regardless of race, color, creed, gender or political preference.

“One District – One Library” means 75 book libraries in 75 districts of Nepal. Through the success of our pilot phase program conducted at several schools, orphan houses and community centers in Kathmandu, Dolakha and Nawalprasi. Solidarity Nepal is confident to meet the campaign target by 2017 as this program is highly recognized, participated and supported by medias, colleges, corporate houses, youth agencies, government, political figures, NGOs, local organizations and local people. The “One District – One Library” Project’s goal is to put books in the hands of eager kids throughout Nepal.

We believe that every single person can make a difference through “One District – One Library” campaign. The library project provides a wide range of English and local language children’s books including history, science, short stories, fairy tales, books for very young readers, children’s dictionaries, children’s reference books, and an assortment of comic books.

How This Campaign Runs? 

This campaign runs with your generous support. Solidarity Nepal initiated this campaign for everyone who is passionate about making difference in various government schools, orphan houses and community centers in Nepal by investing little effort. Every one of you can contribute and participate in this campaign by donating a book.

The project will:

• Create awareness about the importance of library.
• Assist and train teachers, students and local community members to properly use and maintain the library.
• Create habits of Learning.
• Improve the quality of education.

How to support?

• Share our project with members of your community, coworkers, employees, and friends.
• Help us to buy/collect old and new books.
• Help us raise funds to buy books (1 book = Nrs. 100).
• Partnership with us.
• Overall support for the project.
